Free Flow

September has arrived; thunder, severe weather warnings ensue and grey, sunless skies continue. Is this a sign? Undeterred  I have been swimming around the wonderful world of web and stumbled-upon 'outwit' a mozilla add-on that allows me to collect (harvest) web data and transfer it to an excel spreadsheet, realising I'm in danger of becoming a 'geeky rather than cheeky artsmonkey' I stepped away from the tech-stuff and went on to browse organic leadership, SAM and The South (sounds like a film) I have decided I can't hide away in my office for ever and I've signed up for a couple of own-it seminars (intellectual property advice for creative businesses) namely, the 'writer/producer/director' triangle and 'how to make money from ideas'. I'm really keen to attend the club FLIX FREE event on the Future of British Film & TV at The Egg (Saw Close, Bath) on the 18th September but sadly I'm over 21 and I should be preparing for the ENYAN South East youth-led conference at The Lights in Andover - developing young arts leaders on the 30th. Rumour has it, that the Arts Award is looking to develop a level 4 'Young Arts Leader' qualification - step on it guys, I have a feeling there'll be a queue forming.
